True North, Mission of Hope Haiti’s New Floating Campus

“We are excited to share the news that our partner, Mission of Hope in Haiti, have acquired a boat called True North to be a “floating campus!” The boat will allow Mission of Hope to work with the HaitiOne network to quickly provide relief in times of natural disaster to the least reached areas in the North and South of Haiti, and to bring the gospel with them. This is a very creative idea and we are pleased to see it implemented. We join Mission of Hope in praying for True North to be a strong beacon of hope and goodness in Haiti.”

In August of 2016, after a time of intense prayer, Mission of Hope leadership sensed that God was calling us to expand our reach to the North and the South regions of Haiti. Doing so would be an endeavor to further accomplish our vision of reaching every man, woman, and child in Haiti. We are excited to announce a new opportunity to help accomplish this goal.

MOH has acquired a boat called True North, which will become a new “floating campus” later this year. True North is a 110-foot fishing vessel converted into a floating campus that will accommodate 34 trip participants plus crew with the amenities of food and lodging.

Our investment in True North will allow us to partner with the HaitiOne network to safely reach the least reached areas in the North and South of Haiti with the Gospel. It will also allow us to quickly respond with relief in times of natural disaster. Our goal is to also utilize True North to mobilize the Haitian people on mission trips to surrounding areas.

We are excited for the opportunity God has given us to expand our reach and minister to lesser reached people! Join us in praying that True North will become a beacon of hope in Haiti as we seek to reach every man, woman and child.
